With dedication and ambition, aiming for greatness with every swing
My name is Leonie Krausse, and I am a highly dedicated golfer from Germany. Currently I'm a proud member of the Seminole State Women's Golf Team in Florida.
I discovered golf through a talent scouting program at school, and from the very first day, I was instantly captivated by the little white ball. From the start of my career, I’ve been incredibly ambitious, which quickly led to my first successes. The first major milestone for any golfer is earning the course license, which I achieved at the age of 10.
Starting with small youth tournaments within my regional golf association, I was eager to gain international experience early on. My first major international tournament took place at Disneyland Golf Club in Paris when I was 12. Back then, it wasn’t enough to reach the podium.
In September 2023, at 18 years old, I returned to Paris—this time with an official invitation to the tournament. The first two days were a tough battle on the challenging Arnold Palmer course. However, on the final day, I delivered my best performance yet, finishing with a score of -6, which equals a 68 on a par 74 course. This result secured me third place in a highly competitive international field.
2023 marked a breakthrough in my athletic career. I won the Schleswig-Holstein State Championship, a defining moment for me.
Throughout the 2023 season, I competed in 15 national and international (European) tournaments, securing 11 trophies. At the final international tournament of the season, I became the overall winner, earning my spot in the World Amateur Golf Ranking (WAGR)!

In August 2024, I made the move to Florida to further pursue and intensify my athletic and academic career in college golf. This transition has already brought some exciting milestones, including my first two Top 10 finishes in college tournaments. During the Fall 2024 season, I was honored to be named the Best Freshman on my team, a recognition I’m incredibly proud of.
Currently, I’m ranked 7th nationally and 2nd regionally on the U.S. college golf scoreboard, continuing to push for even greater success. Additionally, I reached my highest-ever World Amateur Golf Ranking (WAGR) position at 921, which is a significant achievement in my journey so far.
Starting in August 2025, I will be moving from Orlando to Las Vegas, where I will continue my journey at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas (UNLV).
This top-tier university offers incredible training facilities, providing the perfect environment for my development. I will be competing in the NCAA Division 1, the highest level of college golf in the U.S.
I am truly grateful for this incredible opportunity and fully committed to growing as a player. Step by step, I will continue my path toward becoming a professional golfer.
